High School

High school provides training which prepares students to continue their studies or begin work.  Schooling includes a range of subject areas, and may include vocational courses. Upon completing High School students achieve a Senior Secondary Certificate of Education, this qualification is referred to by different titles in different Australian States and Territories.

Vocational Education and Training Sector

There are many training options in the Australian vocational education and training (VET) sector. VET courses equip students with skills that meet national industry standards. This means that employers have specified they are important in particular industries. VET qualifications also prepare students for further study.
